Shinbundang Line Information
The Shinbundang Line, also referred to as the DX Line of the South Korean Metro service, is a thirty-one kilometer long line that is part of the Metropolitan Subway network of Seoul. With the commencement of services along this stretch, the Shinbundang Line became the fifth subway service in the world- the second in the country after Line 4 in Busan- to operate services that were completely driverless. The Shinbundang Line allows you to travel between Jeongja and Gangnam Stations in under sixteen minutes, a route that normally takes more than half an hour to cover even by means of the express bus service in Seoul. This is all down to the fact that the Metro service on the Shinbundang Line runs at speeds of over ninety kilometers an hour. The line began operations in the year 2011, with initially serving just 6 stations. Now, it serves 12 stations, with major expansion plans already underway. The NeoTrans Co. Ltd is the company that is responsible for the operations of the DX Line.
