Rapid Metrorail Information
The rapid metro rail Gurgaon a metro system that serves in the Indian city of Gurgaon. Gurgaon metro is linked with Delhi Metro system’s Yellow line at Sikandarpur. The first phase of Gurgaon metro was opened on 14th November 2013 and the rapid transit system is fully operated by Rapid Metrorail Gurgaon limited. Gurgaon metro is designed to offer service to 24,000 passengers per hour. The system is India’s first fully privately financed metro with a total length of 5.1km.
Rapid Metrorail Lines
Gurgaon metro operates through line serving 6 stations. The metro line is coloured yellow. The metro connects Sikanderpur on Delhi metro line2 with DLF cyber city region in Gurgaon. Sikandarpur metro station is located on yellow line of Delhi metro and it act as interchange station for rapid metrorail Gurgaon. Phase II will add 7 more kms stretching Sikandarpur station towards Golf course road with 6 new station. The construction of Phase II is planning to be get completed by 2015. Through the single metro line, from one end to the other the train complete service in 13 minutes.

Rapid Metrorail Timings
The metro starts service 6.05 am from Sikanderpur station and end service by 12.20 am. Metro trains are available at an interval of 4 minutes.
Rapid Metrorail Tickets
Following a recent fare hike, The metro now offers a flat fare of Rs 20 for the entire line. Delhi metro passengers don’t have to purchase separate token to travel by Gurgaon metro. The same Delhi metro token or smart cards can be used to travel on Gurgaon metro.
Rapid Metrorail Parking
Some Gurgaon metro station offers park and ride facilities to the metro passengers. To avail parking space, passengers will be required to pay parking fees.
Rapid Metrorail Rules and Tips
Gurgaon metro connects Delhi metro through a skywalk which is built at Sikanderpur station. For disabled passengers, lift and wheel chair facilities are available. Women’s help desk is available at every station. In case of emergency, metro passengers can contact the driver through a press to talk button which is present inside every coach. The toll free helpline number for all metro riders is operational 24 hours.
